Motorsports and preservation running in the same direction

Formula 1 has been committed to preserving the planet through various actions. The sport is constantly seeking to improve the energy efficiency of engines and reduce fuel consumption. Additionally, Formula 1 develops sustainable automotive technologies that can be applied to street vehicles, contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The category aims to become carbon neutral by 2030, reducing its emissions and offsetting the remaining ones through carbon-neutral projects. The use of sustainable fuels, such as advanced biofuels, is also encouraged. Formula 1 seeks innovation in sustainable materials, such as lighter, durable, and recycled materials. Furthermore, they promote awareness of the importance of environmental sustainability through educational campaigns and social responsibility actions.

And to continue sowing the seed of preservation, the Interlagos Formula 1 Grand Prix has partnered with Greener to take another step towards this goal. Along with SGS, the company responsible for mapping all the emissions generated by the event, over 4,000 tons of CO2 were offset during the 3-day celebration, thus neutralizing all the emissions from this race and providing a display of consciousness and responsibility for the future of the planet.
